MEROCRIT 1GM INJECTION contains Meropenem which belongs to the group of medicines known as Antibiotics. It is used to treat various bacterial infections such as pneumonia (including community acquired pneumonia and nosocomial pneumonia), urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, gynaecological infections such as endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease, skin and skin structure infections, meningitis and septicaemia.
It is also indicated for empiric treatment, for presumed infections in adult patients with febrile neutropenia, used as monotherapy or in combination with anti-viral or anti-fungal agents. MEROCRIT 1GM INJECTION is also used in the management of neutropenic patients with fever that is suspected to be due to a bacterial infection and bacterial infection of the blood.
During the treatment, your doctor may do blood tests from time to time. MEROCRIT 1GM INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with liver problems, kidney problems, and diarrhea.
MEROCRIT 1GM INJECTION is generally not recommended in patients with gastrointestinal problems and hypersensitivity reactions. Consult your doctor before receiving if you are pregnant or breastfeeding women.
