FORCAN PLUS INFUSION contains Fluconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungal agents. It is used in adults and children for the treatment fungal infections including candidiasis, mucosal thrush (infection affecting the lining of mouth, throat, esophagus, bronchuses and lungs) when oral treatment is not possible and cryptococcal meningitis (fungal infection in the brain).

FORCAN PLUS INFUSION is also used to prevent candida fungal infections in patients having reduced amounts of white blood cells (neutropenia) following bone marrow transplants.

Before receiving FORCAN PLUS INFUSION inform your doctor if you have kidney, liver or heart problems, AIDS or yeast infection. FORCAN PLUS INFUSION is not recommended to use among women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

FORCAN PLUS INFUSION can be used in children and adolescents. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for your child, so consult with your child’s doctor. FORCAN PLUS INFUSION should be used with caution in elderly patients.

The most common side effects of receiving FORCAN PLUS INFUSION are headache, rash, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhea. Contact your doctor if any of the above symptoms worsen or persists.
